It's been a few months since the last update, and a whole lot has happened since then. After scouting the abandoned Woonsocket Middle School I teamed up with veteran filmmaker Scott Gabrielson of the local EverDot Studios to create an outline for a documentary. The film, tentatively called "The Old School Project" will trace the history of the school. The cornerstone says 1914, so we have a lot of work ahead of us. 

After I took a peek inside the school I knew there was a story to tell. Papers were strewn everywhere, desks were left untouched in some classrooms, and I could see the writing still on the board in some cases. So, I created a teaser trailer and movie pitch document for the Woonsocket City Council in an attempt to gain access to the closed school. The doors have been shut since December 2009 and since then has been on lockdown with 3 security systems. We would be the only film crew granted access.

We presented the idea to City Council last night and are waiting to hear back. I think it went pretty well! For now I have to get ready for a trip to ITALY! You can believe I'm packing as many cameras as I can.
